The next chapter meeting is Tuesday November 2nd. Charles Henderson, of Trustwave, will present: “A 360 Degree View of a Complete Application Security Program”.
A complete Application Security Program includes aspects of offense as well as defense. Application Security Offense includes proactive measures such as Application Penetration Testing and Application Code Review. Application Security Defense centers around protective measures such as versatile Web Application Firewalls (WAF). By developing a 360 Degree View of their Web Application Security, companies can prevent vulnerable applications from being deployed and can protect applications in use from new and evolving vulnerabilities.
BIO: Charles Henderson is the Director of Application Security Services in Trustwave's SpiderLabs. He has been in the information security industry for over fifteen years. His team specializes in application security including application penetration testing, code review, and training in secure development techniques. The team's clients range from the largest of the Fortune lists to small and midsized companies interested in improving their application security posture. Charles routinely speaks at various conferences around the world (including past Black Hat, SOURCE, IAFCI, OWASP AppSec USA, OWASP AppSec Europe, and Merchant Risk Council events) on various subject matters relating to application security.
The meeting will be held at the Regional Enterprise Tower, 425 Sixth Ave 23rd floor. This is a Lunch meeting so registration will begin at 10:30 am, the presentation at 11:00 am and Lunch at noon.
